This event will benefit the Food for the Needy Foundation and their work to provide meals to those less fortunate.
There is no entrance fee and donations are strictly voluntary. With absolutely no overhead or expenses, 100% of your donation goes to Food for the Needy.
All donations will be matched up to 3 to 1 as outlined below.
In-person details:
No official check-in. Just show up and walk, jog, or run! Arrive 5 minutes before the start and you’re good to go.
Location: Waterford Bend - Hines Park - 6 Mile Station Dr, Northville, MI 48168. Use this Google Maps link.
Path: The path is paved for both the walk and the run
Rain Day: In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held on Sunday, November 9th at 10:30 am.
Drinks/Snacks: There will be water, Gatorade, and some snacks at the end of the race.
Virtual details:
Complete the walk, jog, or run at your own time and pace.
Swag: Virtual participants will receive a t-shirt and medal by mail.
Updates: The details (time/place) of the event may change based on unforeseen circumstances We will attempt to notify you via email and text if this occurs. Please check back here in the day/week before the event for updates.
Results: There are no official results or winners. Everyone keeps their own time. Share it or keep the results to yourself. Send your 5K results to the organizer for publication on the private results page if you want. This event is strictly for fun and to help the needy!
Sign up: Click this link to sign up and provide your t-shirt size. There is no entrance fee. There is no hard sign-up deadline, but for planning purposes, please strive to sign-up by November 1.
Swag: All in-person participants and donors will receive a medal, t-shirt, and water bottle. Swag may be mailed afterwards depending on the timing of signups and availability of swag on race day. All costs for the swag are being paid for by the event sponsor and will not come out of the donations you make.
Donations: This event is strictly being managed on a voluntary donation basis. We accept any and all donations and do not have a minimum or suggested donation. Tax deduction receipts will be mailed upon request. For information about donations, please visit the "Get Involved" link on our website.
